Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or booking a tour with Atlan Walkers Tours ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Definitions

• "Tour" refers to any travel package, excursion, or service offered by Atlan Walkers Tours
• "Traveler" or "you" refers to the person(s) booking or participating in a tour
• "Booking" refers to a confirmed reservation for a tour
• "Services" refers to all tour-related services we provide

Booking and Payment

Making a Booking

1. To book a tour, you must be at least 18 years old
2. All booking requests are subject to availability and confirmation
3. A booking is confirmed only after we send written confirmation and receive the required deposit

Payment Terms

• Deposit: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking
• Balance: The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before the tour start date
• Late Bookings: For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking
• Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, credit cards, and PayPal
• Currency: All prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified

Pricing

• Prices are per person unless stated otherwise
• Prices may vary based on group size, season, and specific requirements
• We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before confirming a booking
• Additional costs (visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses) are the traveler's responsibility unless explicitly included

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation by Traveler

If you cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

• Cancellations must be made in writing via email to atlanwalkers@gmail.com
• Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14 business days
• Refunds are made to the original payment method

Cancellation by Atlan Walkers

We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to:

• Insufficient bookings (minimum group size not met)
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics)
• Safety concerns
• Government travel restrictions

In such cases, you will be offered:

• A full refund, OR
• Credit toward a future booking, OR
• An alternative tour of equivalent value

We are not liable for additional expenses incurred due to cancellation (flights, visas, etc.).

Modifications

• By Traveler: Requests to modify bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional charges
• By Us: We may make minor changes to itineraries due to operational needs. Significant changes will be communicated as soon as possible, and you may cancel for a full refund if unacceptable

Tour Conditions

Itinerary

• Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, road conditions, site closures, or other circumstances beyond our control
• We will make reasonable efforts to provide equivalent alternatives if changes are necessary
• The sequence of activities may be adjusted to optimize your experience

Accommodations

• Accommodations are as described or of similar standard
• Room types (twin, double, single) should be specified at booking
• Special requests (accessibility, dietary needs) should be communicated at booking and are subject to availability

Transportation

• We provide comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles appropriate for group size
• Professional, licensed drivers are provided for all tours
• Seat belts must be worn at all times where available

Group Tours

• Minimum and maximum group sizes apply to specific tours
• We reserve the right to combine small groups for operational efficiency
• Private tours can be arranged at additional cost

Traveler Responsibilities

Health and Fitness

• You must be in reasonable health and physical condition for your chosen tour
• You are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs at booking
• We recommend consulting a physician before travel, especially for active or adventure tours

Travel Documents

You are responsible for:

• Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity from return date)
• Obtaining necessary visas and permits
• Travel insurance (strongly recommended)
• Any required vaccinations or health certificates

Conduct

Travelers must:

• Respect local laws, customs, and cultural norms
• Follow instructions from guides and tour leaders
• Not engage in illegal activities
• Treat other travelers, staff, and locals with respect
• Not cause damage to property or the environment

We reserve the right to remove any traveler whose behavior is disruptive or dangerous, without refund.

Insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering:

• Trip cancellation and interruption
• Medical expenses and evacuation
• Lost or delayed baggage
• Personal liability

Travel insurance is the traveler's responsibility and is not included in tour prices.

Limitation of Liability

Our Responsibility

We are responsible for:

• Services we directly provide
• Reasonable care in selecting third-party suppliers
• Providing accurate tour descriptions

Limitations

We are not liable for:

• Acts of third-party suppliers (hotels, airlines, activity operators)
• Force majeure events beyond our control
• Personal injury, illness, or death (except where caused by our negligence)
• Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings
• Additional costs due to delays, cancellations, or itinerary changes beyond our control
• Traveler's failure to obtain proper documentation

Maximum Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your booking shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the tour.

Intellectual Property

• All content on our website (text, images, logos, designs) is owned by Atlan Walkers Tours
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission
• User-submitted reviews and photos may be used for marketing purposes with attribution

Disputes and Governing Law

Complaints

If you have concerns during your tour, please inform your guide immediately so we can address them. Post-tour complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of tour completion.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation first, and if necessary, through the courts of Sri Lanka.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
